2. I am out of shape. Is this workout for me?

Lots of people have a misconception that you have to be in shape before beginning our workouts. A workout class called BOOTCAMP sure can sound intimidating!

Rest assured that there are all skill levels in class. We pride ourselves at being a go-at-your-own-pace program. We welcome all fitness levels and are able to keep the group together while each person does his or her own personal best. No worries about what you can’t do, it’s always about getting stronger and faster and doing the modified exercises until you don’t have to anymore. It is really exciting to see people progress as they do their best.

3. What are classes like?

Classes constantly change. This keeps you motivated, your trainer happy, and your body constantly challenged. We are a positive place to come and feel safe and take care of as you push yourself out of your comfort zone. Expect to sweat & keep your heart rate up to maximize your calorie burn!  We do full body workouts, resistance training, core conditioning, circuit training, kickboxing, pilates, stair workouts, muscular strength training, some light running, interval training, and obstacle courses. We teach you a great deal about proper form, core stability, and balance. On special days, you will go hiking. You’ll always be challenged and you’ll always have fun doing it!

10. Are there shower facilities, or a place I can get ready?

We do not have shower facilities, but most employers realize the benefits of encouraging their employees to be active and fit.
Active employees have:
– less stress
– fewer illnesses
– more energy
– more productivity
To encourage employees to ride their bikes to work many employers have installed shower rooms.
In addition to helping their employees stay active, it encourages a greener planet!
Take advantage of these facilities, or if you have a membership to a gym you can use their facilities to get ready for work.

Each package has an expiration date. For most of our packages, the clock begins with your first attendance, but not always, so be aware of this at the time of purchase. We do not offer refunds. If there is a circumstance beyond your control that prevents you from continuing the package you began, we can only give you a credit toward a future session (see limitations below). This credit is non-transferable and is not given toward private training. There are no cash refunds. This is not negotiable.

We limit credit to medical needs and for those who notify the office PRIOR to absence. Notify the office directly by emailing info@longbeachbootcamp.com or calling 562.343.5230.

13. I’m on Auto-Pay for unlimited classes, but what about when I take a vacation?

When you plan a vacation, just let us know so that we can adjust your Auto-Pay schedule accordingly. You get one hold of up to 2 months with your Auto-Pay deal for every 6 months of a term.  This limitation is because of its stellar price point. Of course, if you have something medical come up, we are more than happy to extend this. Please provide a doctor’s note by mail, or if you like, a picture of the note can be emailed to our office at info@longbeachbootcamp.com.

CONTRACT:
Unlimited Auto-pay Membership is a pay-as-you-go option where we sign you up for class automatically each month. This is simply a recurring payment option for those who appreciate the convenience of a membership, but prefer their payment to occur per month rather than all up front. Your first charge will be the day you sign up. The last charge will be __ calendar months from that date (depending on your choice of term length). Please note that this option does not offer credit for missed classes, but we can place your membership on hold when notified of a medical need. To return to class, please call or email us and provide a doctor’s note for your credit. Unlimited attendance for Long Beach Boot Camp and unlimited attendance for Running Boot Camp are separate and may not be combined. HOLDS: You can put your membership on hold once every 6 months. Holds can be for as long as 2 months. If you have a medical issue, we accept doctors notes (no limitations apply). Please note that refunds will not be available but you may use credit if you notify the office prior to a medical leave.

14. If it’s raining, do you still hold class?

Yes! If we are experiencing some weather, thank goodness! We usually manage to find some coverage. Come prepared with a hat, breathable rain jacket, wool or synthetic socks etc. We would, however cancel class for thunderstorms – especially on Signal Hill.
